here's the typical example of a gurjha woman of rajasthan. the environment in the area is so dry and barren that people tend to become tough mentally and also physically...they are usually very cpnservative about posing for pictures in these regions but here we have a tough-looking lady who asked me to take a picture of herself..she posed naturally. i took a colour photo and changed it in to b&w in photoshop.

This is a nice portrait and black and white works well here. There is a nice contrast between her dark attire and hair, and the overexposed background and head cloth.
