The end of the monsoon, a photo from Gujarat, West

Photographer's Note

Taken in Vadodara, formerly known as Baroda.
Vadodara is one of the largest cities in Gujarat and it's also known as its Cultural Capital.

It was the end of the monsoon and this was probably one of the last days of rain. In fact, it was the only real day of rain I got during three weeks I've stayed in Gujarat. But even with the rain I really enjoyed the city.

This is a beautiful take. The part with the waters coming out are looking simply awesome. I am not sure, if you could crop some part from the left, probably it would look better.

Shot taken through a glass window of moving vehicle on a rainy day using fairly slow shutter, this no doubt is a good picture and very innovative. The blurred offer a glimpse of the feeling of movement on a wet day and the splash of bright vivid color grabs attention while the sharp focus of water droplets make this works and the brain reads the detail. Despite the condition, it's a joyful, colourful and sensational in its simplicity. Well done

Hello Ana,
a superb capture of the mood of the rainy day, both on the outside and the inside. It gives us a good view into the diagonal street, with great depth and lovely colours and gathers evey ray of the uncertain light of this moment. Light management is masterful. I like very much the two kinds of view through the window, one next to the other. The patterns of the raindrops streaming down the glass are lovely as patterns and connect the inside with the outside. I also like very much the way the vivid colours of the vans stand out in this scenery. Well done and hank you!

hi ana,
this is a great composition with the rain on the window outside, while you are kept from it inside the vehicle. the blurred scene beyond really emphasises the greyness of the rainy city. while the flashes of colour hint at the city life going on regardless.

I also enjoy the rain in India and in Goa, the monsoon will start beginning of June, until october/november.
i like that compo taken through the glass window with the rain on it. The vivid yellow tones of the rickshaws are an eye catcher!

A good way to show the rain: focus on the drops on a window and the blurred cityscape tells us in which country we are. Nice colored spots against the grey background.
