Photographer's Note

Belur Math is the headquarter of Ramkrishna Math and mission founded by Swamiji. It is located on the west bank of the Hooghly River.
This temple is notable for its architecture that fuses Hindu, Christian and Islamic motifs as a symbol of unity
of all regions, although that part is not seen in this picture.
Here the monks are enjoying the holy ganges.

Did you click the image from the boat or from the other side of the Ganges?
Have you got more images from this one of the most sacred places on Earth?
I find that the shot is tilted a little bit.
I find two Brahmacharis in white looking towards the Ganges.

wow, it is a nice one. It is for first time (may be) I saw the image of beautiful 'Belur mauth' in TE. How did you captured it? As per my experience goes, I was obstructed from photography here. The image quality is superb. Nice sharpness and depth. Like the colour tone. Excellent composition keeping the main building off-centred. Excellent work. Tfs.

very interesting architecture indeed. It really seems like a mix of styles. You have well presented it in the context of the surrounding, I would include a bit more of the river to enhance the interest.

Lovely architectural picture with these temple as subject.
You placed the tower perfect to the left side this give more space to the right side.
Colours and sharpness are pleasant to look at.

The multiple domed structure top left is vaguely reminiscent of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. Good sharpness & natural looking colour and saturation. The person at right in the long white robes adds scale. The steps leading to the river add interest. I would have like to have seen a little more of the river. Have a nice weekend!

The trees are framing well the buildings. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the architecture of the temple and of the buildings. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

You're capturing well this place by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to the the temple with dome and beautiful shape, and building with outer wall of cream color. And, It's also impressive that here is surrounded by rich greeney. A photograph with fine harmony.

I never had heard about this mix of religions. the architecture is fantastic with excellent details well visible in your photo. I liked the framing and the presence of the monks. the image is tilted and could be better correcting this. anyway a good job.
