Photographer's Note
This is a view of the Padar island, near the island of Komodo. We spent two days on a boat visiting Komodo National Park. We planned to visit other paradise islands of Gili and Lombok. In the evening before going to Gili, we realize that the best thing to do is to come back home. Just in a few minutes, we found the flight by Emirates. So, the next morning we flew to Denpasar (480 km) and from there we went to Singapore (8 hours flight) and Dubai (7 hours this time) to Frankfurt am Main (almost 12 000 km). From there only 1072 km - first by car to the Polish border and then by train. At the border, they measure out temperatures and we had to fill the form (address and the telephone numbers). We were fortunate that the decision was so quickly made - they closed the Gili Island because there was a coronavirus case there.
Padar is a small island located between Komodo and Rinca islands within Komodo archipelago, administrated under the West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.[1] It is the third largest island part of Komodo National Park.
The Komodo archipelago is famous for Komodo dragons, giant lizards that can measure up to 3 metres (9.8 ft) long. However, unlike neighboring islands of Komodo and Rinca that are teeming with the ferocious lizards, on Padar island the Komodo dragon is extinct.
The topography of the island is rugged, with steep volcanic mountains and hills set against deep bays. Padar has a dry climate, with only bushes and grassland vegetation covering the island, creating savanna hills. Padar island has four deep bays with beaches in different colors, most of them are white sands, while some beaches have grey and pink sands.[ The sea surrounding the island has several sites popular for scuba diving and snorkelling. Hello Malgo,
Good to know that you've made it home safely. Too bad about your interrupted trip of course, but it's better to be safe at home than travelling at the moment. This is a fabulous view of these beautifully shaped green hills and mountains surrounded by beaches and water. Very well captured from a good viewpoint.

Ciao Malgo.I am happy to know that you have finally arrived home. It was certainly one of the longest and most tiring adventures of your life, the journey did not go as you wanted, but it is important that everything ended well. The place you show us is beautiful, many small deserted beaches, the ideal place for me. I am always stuck in the house and with the bar closed, but for now there are no good signs from the government measures.Have a nice day and thanks! Luciano

HI Malgo
First of all, happy to see you're safe and back in your country! Being isolated for days when you're abroad should not be a very good situation!
Nice landscape seen from the top, green world amongst the sea.
Cheers

Hi Malgo,
The wideness of the area is creating depth. The point of view is showimg the details of the beaches and of the mountains. The quality of the light beautifies the colours. Have a nice day.

Hello Malgo,
I hope you appreciate all the beautiful places you had time to see before it was necessary to break the journey. This is an amazing view from one of the many small Indonesian islands that I was not familiar with. So many perfect beaches and they all look totally empty. This must have been off the tourist track (or maybe all tourists had already hurriedly left). I understand why you put this in the Decisive Moment category. ;-)
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Malgo
you need to stay home with Lazy Feet now, take a break, stay safe. I wonder how you will adapt to staying home. Lovely shot here, i get the feeling its not a touristy place at all and almost unseen by most people. What a magical view. The trip you took to get home sounds terrible! but at least your home now. cheers

Dear Malgo,
It really looks like a paradise, indeed. And most importantly seems very desolate to be safe from the COVID. Speaking of, when will you return and how? I hope you doin well.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Malgo,
What a stunning island!
You must have been quite devastated to cut your exciting journey short!
This looks like something from 禅he Lost World
Your exposure is fine and I love how you have included all the lagoons, to guide us round the frame.
My warm regards,

Hello Malgo,
This is truly a beautiful and unique landscape. The different elevations covered in greenery, and the turquoise water, all combine to create a wonderful scene. I like the different coves, too.

Hello, that peninsula contains three or four creeks. The emerald water is very attractive. The elevated viewpoint offers a global panorama of the area. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Hello Malgo.
Wow .... impressive the beauty of this landscape, captured from a fairly high point, ideal the 3 beaches that we see separated by mountains so green and in such pointed ways, a special corner.
Good image perspective, very pleasing to the eye.
Colorful, sharp and bright are captured effectively.
Very good composition, magnificent presentation.
Have a good weekend.
Warm greetings.
Luis.
P.S. Well, if the many stork nests are still here, but for now we cannot, we are confined at home by the huge focus of coronaviruses that we have in Madrid, one of the worst, God help us.

Hello Malgo,
A beautiful aerial shot of this verdant island with at least 4 beaches to choose from! Gili Island is nice but there are nicer islands in Europe and better snorkelling in the Red Sea. But Lombok was fabulous especially Kuta Beach and even the touristy Sengigi Beach. Maybe you can visit another time? Did you see any Komodo dragons? They are closely related to the goanna lizards in Australia and fossils of similar giant goannas have been found in Australia. Tfs!

Hello Malgo,
This indeed looks like a paradise, a fantastic island that I surely would like to visit someday.
At first I thought it was an aerial view. But then I saw on the right in the foreground the path you probably climbed to reach this viewpoint.
Wonderful with the sea at all sides and with the beautiful curves of the different beaches.
So far I had never heard of Padar Island.
I suppose you feel as trapped as I do on this moment since we won't be able to travel in the next few months.
Anyway, I'm glad you made it back home safely.
Best regards, Paul
