Photographer's Note
This Chevrolet Caprice was parked in a big parking lot in the shadow of a tree. The midday sun rays pierced through the tree behind the car casting interesting shadows on the chassis of the car. I am not a car expert, but from my research in the internet, this model was built probably somewhere around the 1970's if I am not wrong. This car is just beautiful and it was in excellent condition.
From my experience so far in Japan I can tell that the Japanese do love and appreciate classic vintage cars, and they are usually completely restored. At first I was tempted to convert the photograph to black and white, but then I decided to leave it in color, but give it a bit a vintage touch.
Post edit workflow (Photoshop):
Cropped photo, added vignette (darkened), reduced highlights (too much glare), masked several parts of the car to brighten shadow areas, increase the contrast and clarity, reduced vibrance and changed colour temperature to give it a bit of a 1970's look.

Hi Alfons,
Stunning car. I can't resist a beautiful car photo and this really is a beauty. your pp work is nicely and professionally done and I think I would much prefer this photo in colour as the color of the car is superb and for me a huge part of its stand out appearance. Very nicely done
Cheers

Hello Alfons,
You chose the best possible angle to photograph this Chevrolet Caprice, showing as many facets front, side and upper surfaces. It happens to be a 1968 Model (I owned a '68 Chevrolet Impala). I'm impressed by the preservation or restoration of the 48 year-old car.
Warm regards from the United States

Hello Alfons,
I love classic cars too - I have one of my own but this is a far bigger and "posher" car than my little Austin!
You have made a wonderful job of photographing this fine machine. The light is superb and the details and sharpness are stunning. Looking at your picture here, where the image has been reduced in size, makes it look quite ordinary but when viewed at its "proper" size, the technical quality is truly immaculate.
Fabulous!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Alfons.
I adore this photograph for its amazing quality in both, the vehicles great shape and the vintage colours, which suit so well the entire frame. Even though the car itself looks like parked on two parking spots, the unique old-timer seen in Japan makes an American dream come true anew. A very pleasant scene to look at, like from a catalog in the 60' -70's. Thanks for sharing!!!
