Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken in Toneri Park of Tokyo Adachi-ku in December of four years ago. This park site with about 63-ha is divided by east and west by the Ogu bridge passage. Sport facilities, such as an athletic field, a tennis court, and a baseball field, are located at a west side site, and there are the space and campsite which are familiar with the nature and pond by whom a waterfowl is seen in the east side. Although this park needed the bus etc., for long distance access from the railroad station once, it becomes easy to access it since Nippori-toneri Liner started business and the nearest station was made. This photograph was taken by pond of the east side site. Ducks were seen by pond at this season of winter. Moreover, the spectacle in which great cormorant lengthened and was absent from feather like Batman in front of the thicket of a reed was seen. Probably, it will sunbathe.

Hello Mikio,
I really like your photo with the whole pretty composition and lovely colors. The reeds make interesting and contrasting triangle which cuts into the water and splits the picture into three parts. The birds have been captured very naturally and their reflections on the water surface add to the image.

A lovely nature photo, with an interesting graphism created by the triangle of vertical reeds, the horizontal ripples and the background reflection. The lighting is very attractive and the orange reeds create a wonderful backdrop. The little ripples on the water add movement and the birds are of course a great point of interest in this image.

A wonderfully calming composition, a fine shot of this rather regal looking waterfowl sailing serenely past. The lovely blue of the water, the reflection and the sunlight really makes this shot. No wonder you just couldn't resist it, a superb capture of this graceful birds !! Congrats

The two birds here, the cormorant and the duck, are well captured against the reed. The colours of the reed looks good against the blue water. An interesting note.

Great picture of the typical wings-spread posture of the Black-Cormorant, Mikio.
Excelent sharp image, show its feathers one by onme.
Reflection on ater and the contrast superbly managed, placed off-center and allow much of the pond shown on beautifully.
