�Tokyo � A new start in life�

Another picture I took in the Senso-ji Temple in Tokyo.

There was a photo shoot with a newly married couple. At least this is what I could conclude from the events.
Everbody was very busy and extremely enthusiastic. Just about everyone in the group had a camera and no one seemed to mind that I was there between them. It certainly resulted in some interesting pictures for me. The married couple has taken place in the rickshaw at the right.

In Japan I always enjoyed the combination of tradition and today's modern lifestyle.

un'occasione fortunata che non ti sei lasciato sfuggire.
Sicuramente � stato anche merito della proverbiale cortesia orientale se ti � stato possibile inserirti tra i fotografi del matrimonio, ma resta il fatto che la circostanza � stata l'occasione per proporre una foto insolita e originale.

Hello Paul,
It's nice to see you back after a long break. I like the symmetry, colours, the expressions of joy and the rickshaw-pullers postures. Were these people supposed to go for a ride, or are they only posing for photos? Just married couples offer good photo opportunities which I have taken advantage of several times in recent years, since they started taking their celebrations into the public sphere.

A stunning composition, which nicely captures the spirit of tradition in the country, with the surroundings of the temple and that sort of rickshaws, which in this case must bear walking, carriers with these traditional costumes, a fantastic picture, I love it.
Excellent sharpness, brightness is also perfect.

You were lucky. I've been there, but didn't see this kind of scene.

The shopping street leads to the temple is interesting. A lots of shops sell traditional local snacks and souvenirs.

I can't think of a much more romantic way to travel on your wedding day than in a rickshaw!
You have captured the very essence of happiness in your photograph. The contrast seems to be the rickshaw pullers who seem to be ready for a race rather than transporting a wedding party. Maybe that is part of the tradition, to see who gets to the wedding reception first!

De tradities zijn hier mooi in leven gebleven, hoe u de foto nam is plezant.
Precies een wedstrijd start door de houding van de twee lopers.
Wij houden bij koetsen bv. in Brugge en Gent maar hier moet men nog zelf lopen, de voermannen in ieder geval.
Heel goede foto met een hoge kwaliteit genomen.

Hello Paul,

I love this street scene from last April. The rickshaw driver's appear to be poised for acceleration and competition. The red blankets serve as good highlight colors in this colorful, well composed high-resolution image.

Incidentally, thank you for voicing your opinion about the two versions of my last photo, zoom-in or zoom-out. So far the votes are on the leading side of 5-3 votes. I had followed my wife's recommendation to use the zoom in. I like the more expansive better. Maybe sometime in the future, I will reverse the main photo and the workshop.

Nice scene from, Tokyo with the rickshaws. The guys have funny pose as if they were waiting for the signal to start. They always wear the characteristic shoes, like here. I also witnessed some wedding ceremonies and it was always a lot of fun. Amusing shot.

I got a similar shot of a traditional rickshaw wedding couple in Nara. But here you got 2 couples! Good sharpness and nice warm cold color contrasts. The traditional lantern at top right adds context. I might have tried to include the entire foot of the man at left plus breathing space but that's only a minor nitpick. Tfs!

indeed there seem to be plenty of traditional elements in your photo. Remembering photos from Takero Japan seems quite a traditional country.
Very nice capture here with the rickshaw making a repeated motif. The red blankets add some color as well.

a nice flagrant of this moment not so usual in our world. the couple who was married looks happy and these guys with the carts looks prepared to a fast ride.the cart itself looks not so old, it would be nice if it had the shapes of 16th century or so.. excellent compo.
