Photographer's Note

The exit station building of JR Tokyo Station Marunouchi was completed in A.D. 1914. The duty has been achieved as a door station in Japan since then till today. Restoration construction was finished and the red brick station building of 100 years ago was reproduced yesterday. Many visitors had gathered for the surroundings of the station. In this construction, building frame was extended with the steel-framed-reinforced-concrete wall, and it returned to 3 stories of the time of construction. The internal and external design of an outer wall, a pinnacle, and north-south both domes was also reproduced, the one-second basement level was newly extended, and the base-isolating device was installed. The third floor of the extension part is a station hotel. Construction started restoration on May 30, 2007, and it carried out restoration construction completion on October 1, 2012.
