Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken towards the direction of Cinza 1-chome from the crossing in the Ginza 4-chome.
The right building is Wako store and the left building is MITSUKOSHI of a department store. The Ginza is the greatest downtown in Japan and is also one of the downtown areas. The Ginza is the leading high-class shopping mall in Tokyo. We can know the influence of this name from many places called "XX Ginza" to the shopping mall of national every place. The name of the Ginza originates from the monetary foundry founded at the Edo period. Instead of the name of the original "new exchange town" dealed with silver-coin, it came to be loved as the "Ginza", and this name was established.　And, the circumference of the Ginza 4-chome crossing is known also as commercial land where a land price is the highest in Japan. Here keeps the composure and dignity which are not seen downtowns such as Shinjuku, Shibuya, Roppongi, etc. in Tokyo.
