Very elegant panel of textures! The centred placement of the lock is dramatic. The wood grain is really lovely.

Maybe the contrast is a bit too strong IMO. But the framing and the composition are good. It reminds me a shrine in Kamakura.

Hi Mizue, What I like most about this shot is the blue in the background. That looks great. The wood looks very good too, although it is a little dark. I am not as crazy about the very centered position of the lock, I think moving off center would help. I do like this shot, and I did a workshop to show my ideas.

I like the cropping of Darren, but prefer your colors and tones. I really like the formality of this shot. The subdued hues of the wood work well for me in contrasting with the bright blue of the panels.

Lovely textures... beautiful! I have no complaint about the colours. I wouldn't change them at all. The cropping could be changed to reflect the traditional thirds, but as an abstract piece I feel the current cropping works in its own way. Nice shot!
