Photographer's Note
The word "Samurai" means: those who serve in close attendance to the nobility. They developed their own culture and influenced Japanese culture as whole.
Akira Kurosawa immortalized them in his movie "Seven Samurai". It is often called one of the greatest and most influential films ever made. I don't know who this person was (there was something written on the statue in Japanese) - may be one of the 7 Samurai's?
I'm bit fascinated by these samurai's and I don't know if they still exist in Japanese society. So when I came across this statue in Hibiya park I thought of keeping a photo of this brave person with me.
