Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken by the Tanabata Festival performed in Tokyo east Ueno. The Tanabata decoration colored origami has been arranged and many roadside stands had appeared in both sides along the route. The Tanabata Festival is a festival suitable in summer. If you walk along a place along the route, it will pass by the woman who wore the yukata. A yukata is a kind of Japanese clothes. It is an ordinary dress which unlike the usual Japanese clothes does not wear underkimono but it wears on bare skin. Usually, it is the material of a cotton and becomes a structure simplest in Japanese clothes, and fundamental. It is mainly an event in summer, such as a fireworks display, a fair, and a Bon festival dance, that many yukatas are worn by present-day Japan's life. Since color and the design are variegated are delighted to seen people.

Belle photo. Toutefois, je ne suis pas certain du cadrage qui laisse un espace vide au milieu (en haut) de la photo. Cependant, je ne peux r駸iter � la beaut� de ces jolies japonaises et de leurs merveilleux costumes.

I had never heard of Yukata. Lovely ladies in that traditional costume. I like the contrast between these two ladies. One looks very shy with her head down. The other one doesn't mind . The colors and sharpness are superb. Your note is very helpful.

Shy and charming, two young women clearly captured in a busy street and not deliberately posing. I like the spontaneity of the shot and he fact that one girl is looking down while her friend has found the courage to look into the camera.

This true spirit of summer that has a really warm feel to it, it is perfectly reflected here of absolutely a cheery image and such precious sunshine it seems. The focal of interest dominates the picture stunningly in bright colors. The smile and eye contact pull attention in and strikingly creates a nice contrast overall.
