Photographer's Note

This photograph was taken to the courtyard in Bunkyo Green Court. These is a multistory office building of one building, a high-rise apartment building of two buildings, a business complex, and a place that consists of a fitness institution. Since many office workers and a housing person are held, the restaurant of five other than supermarket is in a site. This photograph is a sushi restaurant which is one of them. It was the time of lunchtime exactly. The menu for lunches was just shown in in front of the restaurant by entering a photograph at stand. The model of cooking is displayed in the left-hand side showcase. A food sample is made to display as a menu which gave the visual effect. This is the expression technique devised in Japan from Taisho Era to the early stages of Showa. This molds the food target, pours in wax and creates. After then, it is the way giving realistic coloring by the surface. In front of the restaurant, the visitors checked the lunch menu and went into there.

Hello Mikio,
Another very pleasant every-day scene. We can clearly see how the three persons discuss whether to eat at this place and in that case what they should order. They are surrounded by a lot of fine details which make the whole picture very lively and attractive. The clarity and sharpness are excellent.

This place, I would trust the taste of the Japanese, and I would follow in the restaurant. The presentation of the food is superb, and is very attractive. This is a picture of daily life interesting, very good quality. Bravo.

Hello Mikio,
a nice snapshot with the visitors of the sushi restaurant to look for their meal.Difficult to understand what the signs write but i think that the Japanese cuisine is very tasteful,as i can say it from my own experience.

An interesting street shot well observed and captured but I think you are drawn more to the display, mixtures of colors, the bold signs and food being sold here, although I feel that this do contribute to liven picture with good control of highlights with enough glimpse of the potentail customers. Compo and layout is excellent, well detailed and good exposure. This shot for sure excels in my eyes and excellent people-street scene. Well done, TFS
