Photographer's Note

This photograph was taken at the JR Iidabashi Station east gate. Colorful picture by red, yellow and a green are drawn on the wall of the bottom of a track, or a guard along a loose slope. Seemingly, this is a picture of a whale. The whale also with colors and various sizes from a big whale to a small whale is located in a line. Although seemingly it is the mural painting drawn by the student of the Arts university in 1990, there is not description/origin why it is a whale in Iidabashi. However, the whale picture of a mysterious pastel color is made into the feeling as a warm heart to the person who saw it.

I guess the creator of this work was a lot unusual sensitivity and artistic creativity. You speak so interesting. Photographic composition is creative too. This bicycle and elegant walker are elements that focus the eye. Excellent quality. Bravo.

Hi Mikio,
The curve of the barrier and the wall draw us into the shot, and I like that you have focused on the bicycle in the foreground as an anchoring element. The splash of colour from the wall adds a nice flare to the rest of the almost monochromatic scene.

A well spotted opportunity by taking advantage of the situation to create a very compelling image with the mix of the urban scene and people interacting with their environments. Your trained eyes are able to see this contrasting spot within the small area as the red band of color not only attracts attention but it's also a great way to cheer the place up. Imho, even minus the bike the image works finely, Good effort well exuctued shot, Congrats

Hi Mikio,
Nice, sharp image of a bike in the near field, with curved lines leading the eye away from it on both sides. It's as if they are suggesting to the bike, "What are you doing parked here? Come, follow us!"
The yellow & red of the wall makes a nice contrast to the grey of the sidewalk and the road.
Altogether a very pleasant photo.
