Photographer's Note
This is taken from the top of an old fort, in the Imperial Palace Plaza grounds.
From it you can see across this vast lawn. I think everyone was too nervous to try walking across it, so instead people walked around it. I think though that if you look carefully you can see one or two figures on the grass - who I hadn't noticed until now.
I found the Imperial Palace grounds to be like their own little world. Inside, the city is so far away and yet you are still in it. It is quiet and peaceful there, which I did not expect from Tokyo on my first full day.

Hi Richard, it looks so clean and the gardens well maintained there. Hard shooting conditions, but it came out pretty well.
You could have used a grad filter here. That is a filter where half of it is slightly darker then the rest. If you put the darker half on top than the exposure is more balanced. I think your Nikon needs a adapter first to fit a filter. Thanks, Gilbert
