Photographer's Note

Soon, it will be hot arrival of summer. This photograph is taken by the morning-glory fair held by Iritani of the Tokyo downtown area for two years in Saki's early summer. Under the influence of an earthquake disaster, the morning-glory fair exercised self-control and was stopped last year. It is likely to resume this year. A cool yukata matches well at the season of summer. A yukata is a kind of Japanese clothes. There are many using the cloth in which cotton, hemp, etc. are thin unlike the usual Japanese Kimono. It is mainly an event in summer such as a fireworks event, a fair, and a Bon festival dance, that many yukatas are worn by present-day Japan's life. As for a yukata, one of the clothes of the Heian period(from 794 to 1185) is made into the prototype.
