Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken in the shopping center near my house. This place is an intersectional corner lot and a pharmacy is located in one corner. When I passed by this street, there were two boys who are sitting on the loading platform of a bicycle and the two dogs tied to the bicycle in the outside. Probably, the owner of the dog and boys' mother will do some shopping in the pharmacy. And, probably the dogs and the children are waiting until shopping finishes and comes back. In Japan, when making a small child and a child (less than 13 years old) sympathize with a bicycle by revision of road law, a duty of a helmet is imposed. Children seem to expect a mother finishing shopping early and returning, however I don't understand a state of mind of the dog.

Hello Mikio,
You made a nice observation which resulted in a funny photo. In my country dogs are not allowed into shops because they are maybe regarded as unhygienic, or some people could be allergic to their fur, but what about children? Strange.

Both one child and one dog were looking at you, managed to draw their attention, Mikio.
Reading your note, I understand this is rather a quiet neighbourhood - otherwise no mother would leave her children alone on a carriage in the street. Not in Israel anyway.

Very much enjoyed the way you get down and close behind to their low level to capture this. A lovely moment well caught and that bit of glancing eye of the adorable innocent is astounding. Clarity and toning you have managed is superb and truly a very charming shot, a tender moment you have caught it beautifully. Children are frequently able to respond at the most unimaginable situations, I applaud your efforts. Congrats.

This is quite a funny scene, the boys and dogs waiting patiently. I like that the boy is just peeping out, probably looking for his mother. A nice street scene, well observed.

Interesting candid with the helmeted youngsters waiting in the bike carriages and the fluffy dogs.
Hopefully the parent was close by for protection?
