Photographer's Note

The metropolitan area was the heavy snow for the first time in 20 years on that day. It began to snow from yesterday morning and it recorded the snow coverage of 25 cm in the center of Tokyo. And, the transportation, such as a train and an airplane, got confused. It had stopped snowing on this morning. I went to the nearby restaurant to have a meal during the morning. The spectacle in which residents brushed off the snow on which the passage before the house piled up was seen here and there. Although the snowy road before freezing did not fall over easily yet, I still carried out by walking slowly. When I passed in front of the local park in return. Children together with parents was building the snowman or playing the snowball fight. They looks like playing happily to it. Probably, they will be glad since the children who live in the city do not have an opportunity to see snow rash. At the corner of this park, a set of parents and children were playing the swing. The bonds of parents and a child were felt from their face and it was agreeable.

Une temp黎e c'est souvent plus int駻essant pour les enfants que pour nous et on peut le voir sur ta magnifique photo. 25 cm de neige, chez nous c'est une temp黎e normale mais je prenais ce matin � la TV o� y avait 11 morts au Japon et 1000 bless駸.Une belle pr駸entation int駻essante et ensoleill馥.

Hello Mikio,
Snow can create a lot of problems for modern society but it brings a lot of joy for children. You have captured this little boy's joy very well, and his father also seems to like playing in the snow. The light is very good and the colours have acquired a wonderful clarity and crispness. The yellow and blue details of the playground adorn the foreground.

Gledao sam na vestima da je u Japanu posle 20. godina pao veliki sneg ...
Dobar snimak, kontrast i ostrina, lepo pokazano mesto sa snegom i trenutak, lepe boje.
Dobar rad sa lepim fotografijama u radionici.
Sneg napravi velike probleme u saobracaju, ali deca ga vole.

We are having similar scenes here in NYC this week. We had two snowstorms a few days ago, and another one has just started. I like the happy faces of the father and child. Children love the snow, and seem to tolerate the cold better than the adults! I also like the WS photos. I was wondering if people in other big cities do as much shoveling as we do here in NYC, and I guess the citizens of Tokyo are just as busy as we are. :-)

Super treatment, the whiteout works wonderfully well with the heavy snowflakes. A smashing family having fun and absorbing that really draws my eye, such an intimate moment together.
