Photographer's Note
I has been to Rikugien gaeden near the house to see a cherry tree yesterday. The big weeping cherry tree near the entrance of a garden was completely scattered with the rain on a couple of days. However, the cherry tree in full bloom remained in the inside of a garden here and there. This photograph is taken both of the tearoom and tea stall which face each other across the big pond which exists at the center of a garden. In the tearoom, while several visitors drank powdered green tea in the tearoom of the Japanese-style house, and watched toward the garden with the cherry tree calmly. Probably, they will look at the direction of the tea stall of the photograph upper part. This Rikugien garden is a stroll garden which had an another residence of Yoshiyasu Yanagisawa who was Tsunayoshi Tokugawa's close attendants in the Edo period. When it went into Meiji Era, founder Yataro Iwasaki of the Mitsubishi zaibatsu(a financial combine group) purchased this and improved the inside. And, it is presented by Tokyo and general public presentation came to be carried out after that in 1938. And it is presented in Tokyo Metropolis in 1938 and generally came to be opened to the public after that.

Hi Mikio,
A good idea to show two different pictures, a close-up and the full view at the same time. Both pictures are very interesting and attractive. Also your note is very readable.
Kind regards

Hi dear Mikio.I remember tearooms from my trip to Japan- places for quiet contemplation. i like the woman's pose, the way she holds the teacup, the far away look(or is she looking at you?). She looks serene compared to the lady in red who seems to be texting. By the way the ladies are dressed, it must have been raining on that day as well. Clever idea to include both buildings. it is great that such places which were built for the influential and the powerful are now open to ordinary folk. Regards. Klaudio.

Hello Mikio,
Here we get "two for the price of one." I like both of the photos, the lower one for the human element, the upper one for the beautiful blooming tree.

MT

Tea-room balcony and one lady with a glazed look to some point out there, Mikio.
Nicely framed within the picture, green park behind, a fine scaled photo.
Best regards,
Ike
