Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken in the Japanese garden(Kiyosumi Garden) in Tokyo. This garden was the place which was a mansion of Kinokuniya Bunzaemon who is a wealthy merchant of the Edo period. And then, Yataro Iwasaki who is a founder of the Mitsubishi financial combine of Meiji bought it, he started development of the garden aiming at guest entertainment, and the present stroll garden completed it. Then, it is sold off to Tokyo and, generally is opened to the public now. This is typical stroll garden with a central pond. There is a large pond at the center, and it is devised as the stone has been arranged so that we can walk along the end of a pond. There are trees in which the pine trees were planted in the surroundings. Many ducks and sea gulls were coming flying this garden in this time, and they were resting the body in the pond. In addition to this, I saw by chance the spectacle in which the grey heron stood on the stone lantern in the garden, and it was overlooking the circumference. Since this garden has separated a few from the center of Tokyo, we can enjoy the atmosphere of a garden calmly.
