この写真は通勤という写真と自然なペアだと思います。「通勤」に写っているサラリマンはこういう職場から帰っているでしょう。

十年前撮った写真なのに現在とあまり変わないだと思いませんか。違いは現在のコンピューターとかは新しいことぐらいでしょう。いまでもほとんどのオフィスは込んでいて単調な雰囲気で人はよく残業をしています。

Almost as depressing as the casino in Macao in which I spent a couple of hours.

A good shot that gives us reason to appreciate the natural beauty of the world. It might have a bit of a green cast, but who really cares?

Maybe it's time for a theme. "The Downside of Life"....

Sounds much like an office in the UK Mike, things are not so very different, where space is at a premium, like in Japan or the UK I think they'll always try and pack as many people into one room as possible, only regulations stopping them taking it further, add in all the equipment, and the heat generated and it must make for very unpleasant conditions, good picture, one that makes us stop and think a bit.
