Photographer's Note

It was a very rainy day with low light at the race track "Keiba" I practiced my panning technique. I posted another panning photo before on Trekearth. Panning works well for two legged and four legged animals.

I love the motto of the race track that all horses wear "No Guts No Glory" I also love the colorful head gear that all the horses wear.

I was surprised to see that many young people went to the Keiba. It is totally different than New York city where 90% are old guys. There is both day and night racing at this track. Since the introduction of night racing it has become so popular among young people. Anyway the horses in Japan run towards their right side, in New York they run towards their left. Now in big races all horses run towards their left.
