Water splash festival #3, a photo from 東京, 関東

Photographer's Note

They would be splashed water one minute later by "thoroughness". Among 55 portable shrines there are some shrines carried by ladies like this one. But the target of splash dose not matter "gender". Some TE friend are worried about my camera for water proof, but quite no problem, as my two cameras took perfect raincoat each other.

Its such an expressive photograph. The shades of emotions are as varied as the shades of colours in the shot. Interesting array of similar colours with slight differences - the colour of the faces of the smiling women - the colour of the dark clothes - each differing from the other is worth mentioning. The varied head-dress is also notable.
The photograph has outstanding clarity. The shining ring on one of the fingers, the red band on another wrist, the pearl ear-ring !! Great composition and display of mood.

Hello dear Takero,
the tight frame encloses much of the intensity of the climactic moment of the traditional festival. A wonderful collective portrait of the ladies who await the big splash clinging on each other and each in her own expressive way. Light management wasn't easy here but you've handled it superbly. Sharpness and rendering of natural colours, mood and atmosphere are wonderful. Congratulations and thank you!
