Photographer's Note

Seiko gold & silver watch, earth coloured dress, well polished elegant leather, a soft coloured sunglass & oh yes...the White or any matching Hat & an umbrella.....No, these or not the attire of any English man, but a perfectly dressed Japanese gentleman in move!..
Many a time I was taken bit by such elegantly dressed elderly gentlemen in trains, airport, beaches...
A Sapporo "Beeru" with a menthol cigarette completes this figure...
Being an average Indian, for us colours mean so much....
Especially in South India, the dignified male image is attired with White. Normally a Kadar dhoti & shirt with a towel in the shoulder all in White... [For Kollywood Buffs - remember movies, "Chinna Gounder" & "Yejamaan" :))]
So I appreciate this very much & taken by their sense of colour in this harmonic combination of elements in the attire...
I am usually very reluctant take a shot of them in their natural moment, which is not often, that too without posing!
Here I tried out the "Hip" shot I discussed with Shailendra & Furachan.

By the way this is the start of the one evening Series of mainly "Hip" shots I did with Shailendra after a memorable coffee with Francis [ Furachan] we had that evening....
I am extremely thankful to Furachan for his for his suggestions & improvements which, hope fully I would be able to implement in my future shots.

Of course this shot is very special, presented after the technique of LAB sharpening from Henk - Oochappan, for whom I am thankful for his consistent mentoring & corrections by critiques and WS lessons...

This is in dedication for Oochappan & Furachan from me... For the Tiger & the Dragon!.
