Photographer's Note
This is a slope named "gongen-zaka" which exists on the way from Nezu shrine to the agricultural department, the University of Tokyo. Since it is the new slope built with from as Hongo street toward the Nezu valley at the Edo period, it is also called "new slope". Many slopes are located in Bunkyo wards in Tokyo. And, it appears also to a literary work well.
This slope was also called "S slope" after "Ōgai Mori(18621922)" of a great writer and the doctor of Meiji Era wrote in the sentence of a novel "Youth" that it is crooked as the character of S for this hill roughly. Although I walk and go from "Toudai-mae station" of a subway to Nezu shrine every year at the time of the azalea festival of Nezu shrine, it is a way which also have temples and a church on the way and is palatable.

Hello Mikio,
An interesting composition with a strong theme of green details. The street and the railing curve nicely in between the buildings, which are architecturally quite attractive, despite their relative simplicity. As always the presence of a person enlivens the composition.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Mikio,
The taking in light low-angle shot, brings to light the slope. The scene of everyday life is pleasant with this solitary man. The light, the colors, the neatness, the details are very pleasant. An interesting image of Nezu. Bravo.
Have a nice day
Best regards.

Hi Mikio
I like how you almost always include one or two lonely people walking by :)
Interesting to view the architecture, the contrast from the tall skinny one to the more charming ones on the far left.
great light and shadow play.
nice to see different views of Tokyo
