Photographer's Note
One of my first impressions upon entering Japan was the use of flags to advertise things. Obviously it is a practise which has its roots steeped in Japanese culture -- that's why you can see many flags at Japanese temples and shrines and the like. Nowadays, when you walk into a Japanese train, you will see flaglike adverts dangling from the roof. It is a part of Japanese life.

What a fun shot! I love the colors on the flags. I think, though, that you could have had an even nicer shot if you got closer and did a really tight crop on these flags, and avoided the bricks and tubing along the bottom of the shot.
