Photographer's Note
It is 9 in the evening in august. A long walk in this aera of the east of Tokyo, plenty of salary man and office ladies. Their walk is like run on the main streets but in the narrow streets, ura, it's quieter.
This man remains me the caracter of a manga and an anime : the father of Yamada kun. He is on the way home, a little drunk... Can we just hope for him he will find something else than a poor banana in the fridge...

I like the mood of this photo a lot. Suitably grainy, yet plenty of sharp detail, down most way of the side street too. I might have possibly cropped out a little of the road in the foreground.
Nice Photographer's note too. I thought at first you knew this man, but your amusing note cleared that up. You have a good understanding of Japan.
Thanks for sharing this.

Nice shot of everyday japanese life.
Like Martin suggested, I would have cropped a bit of the street. The empty space in the foreground doesn't add to the shot and it disturbs the eyes to go on the element of the composition.
Also, I find your picture a slightly clear.
I did a workshop where I adjusted the contrast and reframed it.
Good job anyway.

good idea, I would suggest to push the film ( 2 f stops) which allows you to expose it at 1/60 seconds. it's grainier but you have higher contrasts and the photo comes out lighter.
