Photographer's Note

This photograph is the one having taken it last summer, and is usual daily photograph. Here is Hommachi in Shibuya Ward near Nishi-Shinjuku in Tokyo. This day was a very hot day. The skyscraper in two layers seen behind is Tokyo Metropolitan Goverent Office. The private house cohabits with buildings. Thus, a high wall had surrounded the vacant lot on the street when under construction. The worker on the site stood putting on a uniform by the traffic control. Maybe, the apartment house might be constructed in this place. As for the center of a city, the vacant lot is lost and the building is built. Children decrease the playground, and amuse themselves to the game at home. This might be one background in the age when it gives priority to the economic efficiency.

nice the view of this part of the city with the construction to takes place on the left and the existence of the policeman and the walking woman to add life in the image.A good Summer reportage shot from the suburbs of the city.

I find it a bit strange to see the amount of cabling that flood the street, reminds me of other countries where they form a web.
The place is very unique, searched daily life without frills or beautiful architecture.
Excellent composition and superb light and definition.

Hi Mikio,
the road under construction with the passing by woman and the worker to keep the traffic control with the passing by lonely motorbike to be the only carriage in the road,make the scene as a good reportage shot from the city.

I like your pov highlighting the superb details of the scene in fine textures and well detailde, and the narrow street leads the way thru. Great perspective and depth, exposure well managed with spectacular sharpness, good colors tones and the contrast is superb. Wonderfully processed to give it such a detailed feel, the hustle and bustle of city daily activity and love to see those overhead cables which are part of many citycapes. It seems that every inch of land in this already compact city is getting smaller or taken up by developer in the name of dollar and cents leaving insufficient rooms for green environment. There some bright colors that make a striking contrast. Great street shot well taken, Congrats
