Photographer's Note
This photograph is taken at the station front in Shinbashi this summer. I am engaged and had gone to the Kamiya town on this day. To return, I walked 2km to Shimbashi Station. The intermediate spectacle had seldom changed with ancient times.
Exactly, the surroundings and in front of the station, the salaried workers of commuting return were hurrying 5:00 at way home. In this place, the neighborhood has many private sector offices and government and municipal offices, and there are many office workers like Kanda area. And, office worker partner's tavern compares with some alley, and it is niece.
That there are many such persons like this at this time may have influence of the measure against power saving of the company after an earthquake disaster, and it may be bringing forward going-back-to-the-office time. It seems that the depression for the past several years also overlaps and the office workers who stop on the way also decreased in number considerably.

I think the b;ack and white is very good here, as it somehow enphasizes the hurry of those people.
A very good daily life image

Hi Mikio,
I feel this is not B&W but more of sepia tone, I like the misty crowded air and the wide screen style.

Hi Mikio
A good B&W shot to show the crowdy street, with mainly men (I see only 5 women and a boy).A good report of the japonses life.
Cheers

Hello Mikio,
I like this view! :) A very well captured moment!
This scene looks a bit unusual because it's b&w (but it works perfectly here) and because of very bright white tiny spots here and there - which makes me wonder what method of sharpening you used...
By the way, the cropped sky (even though it may have looked overexposed) created an additional (sort of psychological) effect: people have no sky - too earthly people, thinking their human earthly thoughts...
kind regards,
Elena

I like the theme, and the choice for black and white gives a sense of old times which in my opinion match the picture. Good work, congratulations!

Hi Mikio
I quite like the overall composition and tight crop. It's a chaotic scene, but all of the important elements are well placed within the frame. It brings the scene more to life, renders it a certain dynamics and lots of content to look at this street capture. I just see people casually strolling all over with enough depth. I believe it shows a bit more of that surrealism and the b&w conversion worked. Great capture, Congrats

Hi Mikio,
Well presented with a b&w version, good panoramic format to show people on this street, dynamic effect, interesting composition and depth.

Hello Mikio,
This is a very interesting panorama where my eyes can get lost for a long time among the crowds and the many details. It is a street where I would love to get lost physically, in real life. I think the black and white makes me see the people and other details more clearly.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Mikio,
YOur B&W shots of the salarymen and women are fabulous. Shot with real wit and a sense of empathy for your subjects. Nice cropping on this shot to emphasise the horizontal plane - on which the pedestrians walk - as opposed to the other possibility of emphasising the height of the buildings and the smallness of the pedestrians: the whole effect adds to the humanity of this shot.
Nice work, thanks, Iain
