A Portable shrine going out to the town, a photo from 東京, 関東

Photographer's Note

After a purification, a portable shrine are going out to the town carried by the carriers. This shrine is located on the hill so they have to down the steep steps carefuly. This area has the special unique tradition that red mask and "tsuzumi"(a kind of small shoulder drums which they tap with the finger tips) are equipped with a portable shrine.

Hello Takero,
A wonderful and joyful view, well taken from a certain distance and well composed. The people really enjoy the moment. A lot of interesting details to discover and the group well flanked by the white lanterns. A pleasure to look at.

Hi Takero, precious on this capture are the facial expressions including that of the shrine's. I like especially those on the front left side :> ....this reminds me of the Black Nazarene festival in my country held every January of the year. Thanks for sharing...Alex
