Photographer's Note

I dedicate this image to Takero as he likes taking portraits but, first of all, to commemorate our "TE meeting" in Tokyo last month.
This girl was posing for someone else, at the gate to Sensoji temple in the district of Asakusa.
Two more photos in WS.
SORRY ABOUT THE COLOURS, THIS PHOTO LOOKS MUCH MUCH MORE VIBRANT OTHER THAN ON TE. I always have this problem when posting images with red colour.

oh i'm so jealous indeed! Great to hear you met up for a TE meeting - how's Takero's english? and I was hoping to see a photo of the two of you in the WS

its interesting to see the difference of the locals in the bg compared to this lady in more traditional attire. nice to have the pinks and reds as well

awesome WS of the sign, thats so funny!

Witaj Kasiu, Takero pisał mi, że się z Tobą spotkał w Tokio, czekałam już na jakieś zdjęcie :). Śliczny portret tej dziewczyny w blador�żowym kimonie. Ładne zdjęcia tez w WS.
Ja wyruszam w podr�ż pojutrze, czuję lekki rajzefiber :).

A lovely image without eye contact, 'stealing' the moment perfectly unposed for you but enough elegance to show off her charming facial features in her traditional kimono outfit. Beautifully sharp, colourful colours against the blurred darker background and well-captured expression. Superb relaxing shot, and one to be proud of. Appreciate your additional informative pictures especially I love looking at the cute typically Japan road sign!

PS: I do sometimes encounter some colour shift and loss of contrast after uploading which I really do not know how to solve.

Nice stolen moment. I like to do this too, but maybe when someone take a selfie. I like the descending line, which starts with the giant and finished with the girl's head.

Hello Kasia,
I don't know what colours you had expected, but these look fine to me. You stole the portrait well, and she is nicely placed in front of the red (sort of) pillars and with the lantern hanging above her to the side. The background gives us an idea of the interesting location. Both WS are funny. I would be reluctant to use those shoes. The might bite my toes.

Did you get good shots there? Ya Asakusa, Senso-ji is one of my most favorious shhting spots. You nicely get good shutter chance. Her pose and balance is very well arranged.

Widze, ze kolejna, ciekawa wyprawa za Toba . Czy to juz byla pora kwitnienia wisni?
Portret swietny, choc te inne twoje gdzie lapiesz kontakt wzrokowy z modelem bywaja lepsze ;)
Warsztat tez ciekawy, coz rikszami po zmroku dla bezpieczenstwa jezdzic nie mozna .

The colors looks fine to me. Sometimes less is more. No need to always have vivid gaudy colors. Good portrait of the traditionally dressed girl at right with the flower. The temple makes a good backdrop. Tfs!

Hello Kasia,

Your two additional picture are very well.
(Takero is absolutely a very good portrait photographer also his fire work is beautiful.)
Red is always a very difficult colour for some pictures.
Nice portrait with light blurred background.
Composition and presentation is perfect done.
