Roadside stand of summer festival, a photo from 東京, 関東

Photographer's Note

This photograph is the one having taken it in precincts in the Shinto shrine(Kishibojin) in Tokyo in the summer four years ago. The summer festival was held in precincts in the evening on this day. The lantern was decorated and a lot of night stalls had gone out to precincts. The people who liked festival were shopping the night stall in the enjoyment of the Bon Festival Dance. There were girl who put on the yukata, too. And, it was an air that seemed to be the season of summer was affixed. Thus, when summer comes, the summer festival is held for a long time by nationwide various places in the Shinto shrine regardless of big/small and people are enjoying atmosphere.

Takoyaki（たこ焼）: a kind of little round pancake made of batter, shredded octopus and green onions, topped with dried bonito shavings and thick sauce

This photo brings back nice memories for me. I went to Japan two times during the summer months. I even wore a yukata and danced in the Bon Festival. :-) I like this colorful view of the girl in her yukata, as well as the octopus stand in the back. We can clearly see all of the ingredients for the takoyaki. I miss Japan...

This is colorful street photography with all the right elements in place. The exposure is superb and good flash light control which blends superbly with the ambient resulting in a natural looking image. Good inclusion of strong vivid colosr to bring this image to life and the strollers are there at the right time. Sharpness is excellent with good contrast overall. Well done and good effort

The colorful stand made a fabulous backdrop to the scene, mikio, and I refer to the yound lady in her Kimono.
The mild color of the kimono had given superb contrast to the scene.
