Photographer's Note
This photo is one that was taken in front of the railway station. The square in front of the station, many taxi were lined up in a row. The driver's waiting for customers, but it does not come riding hard. I saw the driver gets off the taxi, has a dose of tobacco in the breather and takes a break time. Currently, taxi industry is a time supply and demand is disproportionate. Taxi is actually left over saturation. And, struggling to it, it appears by the prolonged recession, as customers are using the public bus and rail of cheap fare to avoid high taxi fee. At any age, industry of excessive competition is hard to survive.

Hi Mikio
haha...we are side by side in the new posted photo page and we both have posted yellow cars!!! How funny is that!
excellent note about how the taxi drivers are basically the last line of transportation, perhaps they will all be out of business soon.
Here the addition of the man really helps with the overall scene. well shot
cheers

Hello Mikio,
This is a simle composition but a well observed moment with the taxi driver leaning on his car, smoking a cigarette and hoping for another customer to help him make a living. The yellow car with the red details is very eye-catching and the driver seems lost in thoughts, which makes me curious and increases my interest in the photo.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Kato,
I love it! I am so glad you did not give in to the temptation of keeping the whole car in the frame. Some car freak like me would be very tempted to include the rest of the car. However, that way, the photo would be about the car, not the driver. More importantly, the drive would be perceived as being in the way. You have once again demonstrated the principle "less is more"

Hi Mikio,
Excuse my silence, caused by short trip to Singapore.
I like this superb detail photo. Excellent composition of the yellow car and the driver in front of it. Must have been a nice warm sunny day. The lover angle viewpoint is also very good. Greetings, Miro
