Photographer's Note

This photograph is taken as I walk and go to Ōtsuka from Sugamo. This place is the tunnel prepared under the track which Yamanote Line runs. It passes so that one narrow road may cross Yamanote Line. Some traffic-control signs are set in front of tunnel. The upper left sign expresses only for the pedestrian path from 7:00 of a till 9:00 in the morning. The center left is a sign of no parking, and its lower left is the sigh of one‐way traffic for car. On the tunnel, the display is written that 3 m or more hight car cannot pass through the tunnel. Although I seldom usually hung on mind, if I come outside, various traffic-control signs for pedestrians and car will be seen. It's purpose the traffic accident is prevented with the sign. Two men passed by one another in the rain.

Early in the morning with very bad weather this for beginning a new day.
But your picture is absolutely not bad as the weather.
Two dark silhouettes with umbrella care for a little bit animation.
Lovely composition excellent captured with nice depth and perspective.

Hello Mikio,
This looks like a small part of Tokyo where time seems to have stood still since before the country got wealthy. But you have composed this view perfectly with the narrow lane well surrounded by the tree and signs, the railway and the dark wall. The silhouettes of the two man carrying a black and a white umbrella are the real gems of the photo.

Silhouettes of the two figures holding the umbrella, was well collected, Mikio.
Light on the far side of the under-pass well managed, and so is the green foliage in FG.

Nice find and the user friendly eye catching road signs do look appealing to photographer which are prominently placed. I like the viewpoint and background particularly the silhouetted pedestrians which stand out nicely in stark contrast in the setting. The soft colours and shadows too are lovely and the vivid colours are indeed catchy. Good daily shot. Congrats
