This photograph is taken in the street near Sugamo Station, Tokyo. If we walk along a metropolitan area, we will meet with the spectacle which is carrying out road repairing, water supply works, and electric work here and there. What is seen most is road repairing. So, it is performed with daytime, and morning. Since the place of this photograph is a public road leading to a station, it is a public undertaking. The exclusive track loading with concrete was placed on the side of a main street. Old asphalt is dug up and the construction worker is replacing the sidewalk carefully using new cement and gravel. The temporary passage was made and the supervisor was guiding the passerby around the construction site busily. The other side, since water supply work or electric work give much influence to the local residents, the constructionit is told residents about a time zone in advance, and is executed at midnight in many cases. Although road repairing is carried out as part of a society's infrastructure, I feel well that there are also many roads which are still not necessary for road repairing. Probably, the road repairing will also have the purpose of digesting the construction budget which the self-governing body secured before the end of the year, and the employment policy of a construction relation pursuer.
