As same as other flowers, Lotus is also regrettable at the end of flower opening. Remaining petals make so sad atmosphere furthermore----.

It is sad that such beauty lasts such a short time, but if beauty is indicative of a short life, I should live to see 100, hahaha :)
This is a very striking macro shot where you have captured the fleeing beauty really well. Your trademark depth of field adds that extra touch of class to make this a very artistic image

A sensitive capture of this most beautiful of flowers.
I love the tightness of the cropping and the sharpness of the details, so that we can see the unfolding petals and the tears as it slowly declines.
What a pity it doesn't last longer!

A flower past its prime is a sad view indeed, but such is the way of life, the old has to give way to the new. The raindrops enhance the sad feeling of this fine macro manifold.
