This photograph is taken from the festival performed by Yanaka of the downtown area in Tokyo on October 8 and the 9th. This is the town which left a few old rows of houses even in Tokyo. There are many temples and hills and there are still left old row of houses and a popular shopping center in here. Moreover, back Yanaka Cemetery is and there are General Tokugawa's grave, etc. When I was taking a walk the town, the poster of the festival carried out by going into eyes. The stage other than the tent of a town association was established in the site of the big park. The people of the neighboring town association were preparing opening a shop in the tent busily.
In Japan, there is an organization called a town association as the minimum unit of a local community.
Connection is periodically put on a bulletin board, or radio exercises, a travel, a festival, etc. are held, and the bonds of the area are maintained. Moreover, it is periodically in cooperation with the fire department, the police, the school, etc. of the area.
Now, the festival started and the event of varieties was performed along with the schedule on the stage.
A Hawaiian dance, traditional performing arts, a classic performance, etc. are variegated. And, the mini steam locomotive ran, and children rode on it and they were frolicking inside the garden.
