Photographer's Note
There are some places that have been photographed by millions of people over and over again, and definitely one of them is the torii at the entrance to Yoyogi park in Tokyo.
I wanted to make something original out of this place, and after strolling around for some time I noticed this clearing in the trees just above the gate. Combined with the weird angle, use of a UWA lens to distort the perspective and blown out skies it somehow reminds me of the Death Star's powerful laser weapon capable of destroying whole planets.
Well, at least it's definitely not one of the my-smiling-face-in-front-of-yet-another-famous-place type of photos.
