Photographer's Note
I had gone to Mt. Takao on the weekend.
I couldn't help but notice this spider in its web. There were several little insects caught in its web. But what really amazed me was the beauty of this spider. I've never seen a spider apart from the household kind, and the big ones which they show in movies, but this one was so colourful and beautiful that I had to take a snap.

She's a beauty. Pity there isn't more contrast so that the spider shows up better against the background. It's often worth moving if it gets you a better background for shots like this. Good DOF though.

The more colourful the beast the less I trust it.
A very nice one indeed. It's web looks quite efficient and it has a lot of food in store. Bon app騁it.
Sharpness, DOF and colors are very fine here.

The spider and even if its preys are see clear, Dinyar, it is not easy photograph a spider in its web, against light is not well possible. But this is absolutely beautiful, maybe a little more cropped an the left side for the white background to remove. But two points for effort Dinyar.

This is a hard capture to get. I have had one chance at a spider shot, which I have posted here on TE. Good job of the close up.

Hi Dinyar - Good to see you back - A nice catch you got here even the main motif a little centret (I know my last shot also had a tree in center :-)
I like the fine details with all the flies left off for later use. Thanks for sharing.
