Photographer's Note
This is a temple called Engyō-ji of the Tendai sect of Buddhism in the suburbs of Himeji city, Hyogo.
It is the summit in Mt. Syosyazan here, and it is reported that it is founded in 966 by Shoku Shonin. In the precincts-of-a-temple place, natural environment is held satisfactorily. And, it's The Kansai Kannon Pilgrimage No.27. The building of this photograph is a wooden structure with a tradition style, and has Kiritsuma style with formal tiles for the roof. It is a long and slender building between the fronts 7 and the sides 2. It was built in 1589. It became a location site of the open Hollywood film "The Last Samurai" in 2003. It makes Japan of the beginning of Meiji the stage. It is the work which the samurais left behind from the time lived and drew appearance.

Howdy Kato,
Interesting blend, the length wise view of Engyo-ji Temple with its classical wood art structure, next to the move poster The Last Samurai.
One of my favorite classical movies is The Seven Samurai starring Toshiro Mifune, and its plot was copied later and changed into a western The Magnificent Seven.
Thanks for sharing,
Cheers,
Ray

Hello Mikio,
Another excellent, simple collage. I like combination of two related subjects. The view along the temple is superb, the deep DOF perfect.
Very well done.

Wooden edifice of the temple taken from a diagonal POV, shows well it's criss-cross walls, master work when built, Mikio.
View of the lenth ofb the balcony with greenerry on far, enhanced sense of depth.
Beautifully combined with the movie poster - superb contrast applied.
Have a nice weekend,
Ike
