Photographer's Note

Just now I have come back from there, this is the second time to visist "Snow monkey" area where wild monkeys bathe in the hot spring, that is so famous as friends from overseas. So many tourits are there, maybe more than monkeys---. Maybe this baby is born this Summer.

Konichiwa Takero san
If ever I am able to revisit Japan, the snow monkeys of Jigokudani are very high on my priority list. Since I have seen a reportage about them in the Telly, I am fascinated by them.
Even though the water of the spring is keeping them warm, they do not really look very happy here, I suppose it is still cold and being wet in this weather must not be too agreeable indeed.
Beautiful portrait of mother and child with really amazing expressions in the faces of both apes.

hello takero. these philosophers in hot waters are some characters i would definitely want to photograph if i ever made it to japan. superb zoom with lots of clarity, i also love the expressions: the mother looks wise and the infant looks so naive and vulnerable.

Wonderful portrait of the mother and baby. How cute the small one is! There are small water droplets on the hair, nice. It is always such a joy to see photos of them and of course it was fantastic experience to see them ion reality. Fantastic heart warming shot.

What a wonderful capture of this monkey bathing together with its newborn!
The reflection on the water, the blurred background, and the monkeys looking away from the camera and in the same direction, all make this picture simply stunning.
Sharp details and well blanced colors too.

Magnificent! A great portrait of the mother and the infant. Also the effect is so interesting. When you just look at the mother looks like a painting but when we look at the baby it痴 like a photo. Love it.

I just came upon this magnificent shot of the wild monkeys, one of the best nature shot I've seen outside the National Geographic. The colors and resolution are excellent. Anyone who can bring us such fantastic photos of traditional Japanese rituals as you have certainly has the skills to produce this superb nature shot.
