Photographer's Note
I have just come back from Aoi festival held in Kyoto.
---
The Aoi Matsuri, or "Hollyhock Festival," is one of the three main annual festivals held in Kyoto, Japan, the other two being the Festival of the Ages (Jidai Matsuri) and the Gion Festival. It is a festival of the two Kamo shrines in the north of the city, Shimogamo Shrine and Kamigamo Shrine. The festival may also be referred to as the Kamo Festival. It is held on 15 May of each year.

Hello Takero,
Beautifully taken in front view.
Excellent sharpness of the participants in the first rows with a good blurred background.
The giant parasols are well decorated with many flowers.
A very attractive festival scene.
A real quality picture.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Takero
A beautiful procession and you could not have been in a better place to make this very appealing and lively colourful photo. I really like the expression on the girls face, she seems to be taking the whole event quite seriously.
Best wishes from stormy Ireland

Hello Takero,
This is a very well and distinctly composed photo. The procession of people is well placed in the foreground, very sharp and clear and with excellent colours and details, and the background is sufficiently blurred. The nearest woman's dress is remarkably beautiful and the red umbrellas covered with flowers are stunningly eye-catching with a perfectly neutral background.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hi Takero
well done.
the pink/red umbrellas really do make a strong impact, I would even say they are the focal point?
My eyes start at the top, then make my way down to the people.
lovely exposure and composition in the frame. nothing to complain about with this one!
enjoy your weekend
cheers

Hello Takero,
What a great festival photo! It is so typically Japanese, and full of great traditional details. I like the red umbrellas, the clothes, and the way you blurred the background. I really like this one. :-)

Hello, a very fine representation of the costumes of ancient Japan. Superb colors and dof. Good choice too as a vertical frame so we see the umbrellas and flowers.
Springtime is special for its festivals and you see to capture them well,
