Photographer's Note
I came across the "Navitime" advertisement featuring a racecar driver at the Tokyo train station. With my iPhone in hand, I waited for pedestrians to appear. And among the half-dozen photos that I shot of individuals passing by, I thought this was the most engaging. The race car driver appears to be pointing with an impish grin at the young woman's hairdo.
Doing a google search, I found out that the model for the driver is not Sonny of "Sonny and Cher" fame from the 1960s a 70s, he simply bears an uncanny resemblance to Sonny. The model is actually an Irish actor named Ian Moore.
Navitime is an app for smartphones that help travelers navigate their way in one of the most complex train systems in the world.
It was a pleasure meeting in person my long-time trekearth friend, Takero Kawabata (bukitgolfb301). I want to dedicate this photo to a talented photographer who has shared with us so many spectacular photos from Japan.
Finally, I just created a new group theme, Compelling Backdrops, and will include this photo. Please, feel free to submit photos of your own in this genre.

Hello, Bulent!
I am glad to see your report from Japan. Good tribute photo for Takero indeed. I like this kind of the street daily life photos, very clever combination. Good idea and excellent realization!

Dear Bulent,
Japan a country that becomes less visited, maybe more through Americans than Europeans.
A nice tribute to our friend Takero.
Your patience is rewarded, the important moment with the finger in the hair of the lady..
Your create depth and perspective and nice light too.
Composition and presentation are nice made.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice evening,
John

Hello Bulent,I wonder how long you had to wait?
It was worth waiting for, it brought a smile to my face.
The lady in shot, will never know that she became a model for your picture! That is, unless someone on TE knows her and shows her!
Thanks for sharing, regards Jean.

Hi dear Bulent
You seem to go back to your home without any problems, I got reliefed. Thank you very much for your time, I was very happy to be with you and your family. Yes, I know this service and am familiar with this advertisement, but not yet used in fact. Because we do not have to drive a car in Tokyo, as you already experienced.
All the best and have a good day! Takero

hello Bulent,
Wow, so you met Takero in Tokyo! I also did. Sometimes I think it would be interesting to make a graph with all the connections after the meetings. It would be rather complicated to do. amusing scene, you made a good choice with the driver pointing at the passing woman.
After tomorrow I go to China. I am already very excited about this new journey.

Hello Blent,
A colourful and amusing photo with a high level of graphical attraction. Without a person it would certainly not have been the same.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Bulent,
A very nice daily life capture of the lady walking quickly past the advertisement. The blur works very well to emphasise her speed. Excellent timing.

Hello Bulent,
It must have been a delight to meet Takero, who has shared so many cultural photographs with us and taught us so much about Japan.
This is a very well timed photograph. You are absolutely right, there appears to be direct interaction between the advert and the passer-by. The funny part is that the lady has no idea what is happening!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello, Bulent!
I like the contrast between the sharply defined racing car driver poster at left and the motion blurred woman passing by at right. Good color and saturation. Tfs!

Hello Bulent
Nice story and picture and a good tribute to Takero. Of course it would be even more appropriate if the race driver was a rugby player and the lady was in traditional Japanese clothing, but I suppose that isn稚 a situation you can see every day. 😉
Well done, Groet Rob

Hi Bulent
haha...yes, I can see why CLODO would enjoy this photo, this is right up his alley :)
and i'm so jealous you got to visit Tokyo, its certainly on my bucket list of cities to see and experience.
i wonder how long you had to stay here to capture this scene :)
the woman seems to be completely unaware, fun shot, and the timing is perfect with the finger just off her back.
PS
you'll be happy to know the statue at Starbucks in Lisbon has STILL not returned. My hotel was basically a 2 minute walk from there, so i passed by it several times.
cheers
