Photographer's Note

Tonight it was slight rain but I went to my favorite place, that is one of the most famous places to see light-up SAKURA, Chidorigafuchi-park in the center of Tokyo. Shutter speed was set 20 seconds to emphasize the blurring of many boats movement.

Hello Takero,
You captured a lovely artificial light and marvellously enhanced colours in this well taken night photo. I like the contrast between the motion blur of the boats and the perfect sharpness of the trees filled with flowers. There is a cosy atmosphere partly also created by the lights seen in the buildings.

Beautiful picture, Takero. I love the contrast between the sharps and the vague shapes of the boats. The colours of the trees are outstanding. The rest seems to be black and white only. This gives a wonderful effect. Thanks for sharing, Stef

Hello Takero,
Wonderful with the two different colours of sakura all along the lake side and with the dark lines of the trunks running through the white or pink flowers.
You searched for a good elevated location for this beautiful picture.

A glorious night display of sakura trees - quite an extravaganza of light and more natural colours of that pretty blooming flowers with the moving boats producing a fine visual impact. The water sheen really enhances the image. Super use of the low light, for me it's a cracking capture. Isn't it amazing the difference light can make...
