Like father like son, a photo from 山梨, 中部

Photographer's Note

I took this photo on the 8th stage of Mount. Fuji! The father and son were having a 2 minute scilence of the view. Truly words could not describe the beauty of mount Fuji and I remember over 20 times we stopped and gawked at the view.

I was lucky to capture this.

You managed well to seize the atmosphere of this moment with rest and with admiration. I like the composition of your image and I find very well saturated colours. To what height did you go? I would like to be there!

It seems like the horizon is not level but if you fixed it, the people might look odd, like they are leaning backwards. Still I'd be interested to see what this looks like level to the horizon.

Well framed and colors are nice. I don't mind the horizon, it doesn't look tilted but rather curved which gives the feel that they are really quite high on the mountain. I miss not seeing their faces.

I love the atmosphere that you captured in this shot. Watashi wa ikitai! To me this shows how special it must be to climb Fuji san. Maybe next year.... Thank you

Hi Dan. Yes, you were very fortunate indeed. This is an excellent shot. I love seeing the winding river down below, the other mountains, and the clouds also far below! Fantastic!
