Hello friends in TE.

The fruit season is around the corner as this young mangosteen started to bear fruit.
The purple mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana), colloquially known simply as mangosteen, is a tropical evergreen tree believed to have originated in the Sunda Islands and the Moluccas of Indonesia. The tree grows from 7 to 25 m (20�80 ft) tall. The fruit of the mangosteen is sweet and tangy, juicy, and somewhat fibrous, with an inedible, deep reddish purple-colored rind (exocarp) when ripe.

I have heard about this fruit but I never saw it. very nice image showing its shapes and details against the leaves. good job with the light and framing.

I love this fruit! so delicious! I never saw it on a tree and I found interesting its shape reminding of a flower! A good choice of selective focus, especially considering the low light.

The eye is drawn straight into the shot with this technique, very well done with its limited DOF. Spot on focus and that the beauty of this photogenic young fruit is there to be seen and it stands above the others. Gorgeous color display, detail and textures. Fascinating subject, Congrats

P/S: Buah ni seasonal sekarang tak da musim. semuanya datang dari thailand. tapi permitaannya hebat dan agak mahal sekilo sekita 5-8 dollar tergantung pada supply. tapi semua agak kecil atau sedang. tak ada yang besar besar macam kat kampung.
