Photographer's Note
This are the figurines on the roof top of Thean Hou Temple. I am not sure what they signify but will certainly see them in most Chinese temples.
Perhaps someone in TE can shed some light on this.
This photo was cropped closer to focus on the roof. Adjusted color, brightness and contrast.

Great detail in the figures. I also like the curve of the roof, and the way the figures appear to be climbing. Well done!

Probably true to your interest in aviation, the figurines in the picture appear to be taking off! It's a nice blend with the sky, great shot.

Hi Chai
The figurines ar well placed and are ready to take off!!, one by one. Please follow the leader!!
The color of the figurines are well excuted but the sky are too constrating. Probablt you needed to improve the color of the sky by using PS via selective color. Try it, my friend.

Whoever came up with these figurines and posing them that way on the spur of this roof, must have had a sense of humor. All the figurines seem to be waiting patiently. The only thing you might need when shooting contrasting scene is a Grad ND filter, clamped to your lens. It helps in avoiding a washout sky Chai.

Hi Chai,
There is good focus and clarity in this shot though as mentioned by the others a bit more blue in the sky would create an even stronger impact. You have also selected good dynamism in this composition. Well done!! Regards.

Hello Chai, this is a nice detail of a very traditional Chinese roof line. This is not a very important temple though as it only has three animals behind the man. The most important have maybe nine or eleven. If you visit the Forbidden City in Beijing you can deduce the hierachy of temples by counting the rooftop figures.

There they are: lined up! I like the gold figures against the blue sky here, Chai. Nice work!

Congratulations on making a great shot out of such hard subject matter. I took numerous photos of these little guys but there was not one I was happy with.

Hi Chai,
Nice detail of the figures on the roof top. They appear to be in line, waiting for something. Very good sharpness and the colours are intense and well balanced.

Beautiful art on this roof Chai. Seems like it was around noon time because the extreme sunshine has washed out the colors. Try this shot at sunrise or sunset and I bet you will get excellent results.
