My Russian jeep stopped here, to assist another vehicle having mechanical problems. He got the vehicle going in about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, I took this shot.

A pleasing rural scene under a very good light. Good point of view with the bending river drawing the viewer towards the far hills. I like the soft light and colours.

Hi Chris.
These landscapes are so vast and empty! You were in a perfect position to catch the bend in the stream and the clouds on the slopes, as well as the horses in their many colours. A very good wide angle shot with well placed foreground detail and a pale sky above these limitless undulations.

Hi Chris,
for sure without mechanical problems those horses. The heavy sunlight is good visible and the moment has something very special. Something about work, but in a relaxed way. Superb water surface.

Well composed image of the thirsty horses. From this POV you were able to make good use of the diagonals and curve of the river. I like the fact one horse has a rider willing to let him slake his thirst. Well done

Great shot Chris! This shows not only the huge, wide open spaces of central Asia, but also some of the culture and history, with those horses really evoking the past. Great use of the curve of the river to lead us through the picture. Well done!

Hello Chris,
Mongolia is known for its green willows and many horses in big herds. A side light afternoon (assuming that) made good light prevailed upon the green landscape.
