Photographer's Note
Located in the Island of Panglao in the Central Visayan Island province of Bohol, a must see place for anybody visiting the island.
This resort is in abundance of white powdery sand that covers the circular coastline of the island. This foto says it all.... :-)
Panglao is proud of its name in the Philippines Tourist Map that indicates fantastic paradise beach Resort and dive spot.
This might be my last posting from the Philippines. I'll see you all in LA.

WOW Philippines!!
you should sell it to DOT.
Is this Alona beach?
I think that tehe fisheye is maybe too much for this landscape, IMO.
cheers and have a nice trip back

Hello Benedict!
This is real paradise!
Perfect colours and light makes paradise atmosphere with typical things - white beach, palms, old style boat...
Perfect work!
Best regards!

Hey benedict.
Great scene, great colors, great quality of the picture. I'm not sure I like the fish eye... Same for your last post the horizon is halfway between round and straight. I have seen picture from a friend (not TE) with a really exagerated fisheye... the picture was almost round. Then I could really understand what was going on and saw the artistic qualities behind the composition. Here well I'm not sure. Still a great shot since I think it is simply a question of taste.

Ol amigo,
what a great place to take some rest! Unfortunately I didn't have time for those beauties in my visit. Sunny day, blue sky and a boat on the foreground. The result? very nice image! Well done!
Abra輟,
Carlos
PS: have a safe flight back second home!

Hello Benedict!!
Great sky!!
The light is a bit too bright and there's too much contrast in the greenery on the left.
Great place!
Have a safe trip back to the States!

Official fish eye on duty again!
I like the way you make use of it, as it was nicely used to make the world smile in the previous photo.
And now, looking at the photo, we can claim that the world is round really, and not flat as the inquisition claimed...
The boats and the hut... Ohh...
Why do you go back? If i were you, i would never go back...
See you then...

Absolutely Amazing and inspiring Image. The Details and colours are amazing. The scene has been captured perfectly, the balance between the sea, the coast/beach and the Bangkas are great! Every little detail here is perfect, I really feel like im back home.
Have a Safe trip back, I hope you can get back to the Philippines sometime again (who wouldnt).
A Very well suited shot for one of your last in the RP.
Mabuhay! Be Safe!

Awesome Benedict. Your fisheye does wonder for Panglao's natural beauty. I wonder where you stayed here? I always stay at Alona Beach for weeks. I am so jealous. Superb picture. Best regards. Danilo

Hi Benedict,
A dreamy beach very well captured with your amazing toy. I am very fond of really wide angle lenses, because of the amazing perspectives they give and you used very wisely here.
I notice only two minor issues here. One is the inclination - I wonder if it is intentional, but despite it doesn't bother me much, maybe it was better that it didn't exist. The other issue is the excessive ue on the woods on the left.
I imagine how hard it will be returning to work and US after vacationing in such a place.
Regards, Jos.

Hi Benedict,
I love your use of the super wide angle here, it has a great effect. Well composed with this boat in the foreground and I like shades of blue and the overall serene atmosphere of the image.

Hi Benedict,
Fisheye lens or the result of stitching ... doesn't matter the effect looks stunningr. You must have based yourself in Cebu for this island hopping experience... hope those 'bibinka' from Taboan did not upset stomach... did you love the smell of dried fish :) Looks like this is shot was from Panglao Beach Resort ... an expensive resort but worth the visit ... especially the fine white sand. A much quiter atmosphere than Boracay, but a ideal refuge from the busy LA lifestyle. Wonderfully captured and composed. And ganda, pare! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

vast super wide shot brings everthing together and creates spaciousness like we never see with our normal vision..even panorama
a bright south sea impact shot with those tropical horizon clouds marching along in fine order
near boat and far boat shed hit it off nicely
cheers

Hi Benedict,
Great framing, the outrigger invites one to paddle out to that little house in the distance; speaking of living the dream!!
The fish-eye works exceptionally well here; you can almost see Los Angeles as the horizon curves off into the distance. What a contrast between the pristine isolation of this beach and Los Angeles; still there are many worse places to live. That is the cool thing about being a nurse; you can get time off to travel.

Ol Benedict, although the sand is overexposed, it's still a dreamy image of the paradise and I like the fisheye distortion effect. The sky seems marvellous and I guess that you could have included more of it in the composition.

Hi Benedict,
Nice landscape, what makes the shot special and funny is the horizon distortion due to the fisheye, an unusual effect nice too see from time to time.
Have a nice day JY

Hi Benedict, love the way you used the bended horizon line to compose the picture and at the same time organized the elements on it to follow the rule of thirds. Great capture,

I think the picture would have been better without the fisheye. Colours are great, display of elements but I think it is a bit overdone here.
