Photographer's Note
The Happy Buddha is a great source of peace for many believers. Apparently, touching the various parts of this Buddha brings divine intervention to particular aspects of life. For example, touching the ear brings long life, touching the mouth brings great happiness, the stomach brings fortune. You can notice the worn out earlobes and the cheek of the Buddha, due to constant rubbing by the hand of the faithful.

This is really great, so many Buddha's around at the moment, now that the Brazilian contigent has joined in . I like the way you've framed this, with just the arms of the person visible.

John,
Well composed. By showing the hands only, you focus on the act of reverence. I also like the sepia tones.

Hi Yek
Great B&W (sephia) effect.
A pair of arm reaching and touching the cheek of Buddha, yeah, such a simple shot but the meaning is so powerful.
Well done.

Great close up and also a bit comic as he looks so astonished. I like the diagonal lines, everything happends along the line from top left to bottom right. Good sepia too.

Hi John
I discover your photograph today, it is really SUPERB. Seldom a scene of devotion will have had as much impact on me. I retain here more the very strong emotion that technique irreproachable qualities of the photograph (POV, DOF, light, sepia, compo and so on)
